Intrepid was delighted to be invited to work with The Princes Foundation for Children & The Arts on the Theatre Quest Finale at the Unicorn Theatre, London on 28th January 2008. The event was attended by HRH Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall. Intrepid ran a workshop for 250 children with Alison West, Simon Carroll-Jones, Adam J Carpenter, Samantha Macefield & Julian Humphries.
The organisers had the following to say about us,
“Thank you so much for leading the workshop. I was lucky enough to be in the auditorium and could see that the children (and adults) really enjoyed the activities. The whole event was a great success, much enjoyed by the children, the teachers, and Their Royal Highnesses alike.”
Emma Blanksby, Project Coordinator
On 1st February, Intrepid returned to Northgate Primary School, Crawley for a workshop exploring Native American Stories, with 58 Year 3 children. A great time was had by all.
Intrepid is proud to be working with Sussex Newspapers on an exciting sponsorship deal that Richard Hawley (Intrepid Director) & Bharat Lukka (Group Newspaper Sales & Marketing Manager) forged in December. More developments on this relationship to come soon.
Arts Council England have awarded Intrepid with a grant to support our training & mentoring programme, facilitating further development opportunities to host young people & train young teachers and assistants.
Hosting young people keen on hands-on experience with a professional theatre company is an important priority for Intrepid. And we are very pleased that we will have another Year 9 student joining us in May from Ringmer Community College.
